Tein Atkerson
Tein is a versatile communication professional with experience in B2B marketing, PR and brand management. She has worked with dozens of technology and communications firms, from startups developing software for communications service providers to Fortune 50 companies launching chips for servers and backbone switches. Clients have included AMD, Ciena, Cisco, IBM, Motorola, Polycom, Sun Microsystems and Sprint.
Previously, Tein served as the brand manager for Power Architecture, a computing platform generating more than $3 billion in annual sales through the PowerPC, POWER and PowerQUICC brands. She handled brand marketing, developer community programs, partner communications and trademark licensing and enforcement.
Tein has an affinity for technology and enjoys figuring out how things work. She’s a voracious “consumer of words,” keeping up with 13 magazine subscriptions, several daily newsletters and two book groups.
Tein earned her graduate certification in Mandarin from the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language School and a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Texas at Austin. Tein once served as an interrogator in the U.S. Army, so stay on your toes.
